Gulab Jamuns are a special sweet always.... we all love to have it anytime.. There are quite a few methods of making jamuns. this is one of the methods using fresh Khoya... I bet you can never resist from having or 3 at a stretch... Once when you try hoya jamuns, you will stop buying instant mixes from shops. Its price friendly as well as tasty..

Yummy soft jamuns are ready....grab it whenever you want! My hubby's fav Jamuns here.....

Ingredients:
- Unsweetened Khoya/ mawa - 200 gms
- Maida/ Flour - 3 -4 tsp
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
- Sugar - 300 gms
- Water - 200 ml
- Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Method:
- For sugar syrup, heat sugar and water in a pan.. After the sugar is dissolved , check for the consistency.
- For jamuns , the syrup should be little sticky. Switch off the sugar syrup.
- Add the essence to it.
- I used Nandhini brand Khoya.
- Meanwhile, knead the dough for the jamuns.
- In a vessel, add the khoya(room temperature), maida, cardamom powder.
- Knead the dough with the moisture of khoya itself. If its not forming into a dough, sprinkle little water.
- Make small balls out of the dough.
- Heat oil in another pan. Fry these balls on medium flame.
- Add it to the sugar syrup.
- Let it soak for sometime.
