I made this special Kheer for my dad's Bday which was on Dec 2nd... Wishing him many happy returns of the day !!
Ingredients:
- Aval/ Rice flakes - 1 small cup
- Ghee - 1 tsp
- Saffron - few strands - soaked in warm milk
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
- Badam- 12 soaked in warm water
- Milk - 2 cups
- Low fat condensed milk - 1/4 tin
Method :
- Boil milk in a vessel, add condensed milk to it. Allow it to boil.
- Peel the badam's skin and grind it coarsely.
- Add it to the milk.Meanwhile, in a pan, add ghee and fry the rice flakes for 2 mins.
- Add it to the boiled milk. Cook till the rice flakes are softened.
- Add the cardamom powder and saffron.
- Serve hot !
Yummilicious Kheer is ready.
