This upma is simple yet delicious. My mom prepares this with extra oil and once the upma is cooked well, keep in simmer for 10 mins. So that the at the bottom of upma ,a dark brown layer is formed. We call it as dosa of upma. It wll be damn tasty. We used to fight for it in our childhood. I guess , most of you will be familiar with it. I have topped the upma with the formed dosa. - Rava - 1 cup
- Green Chilly - 2
- Semiya - 1 cup
- Onions- 1
- Curry leaves - little
- Mustard and urad dal, gram dal
- Ginger - 1"
- Boil water in a vessel.
- Meanwhile, heat the pan, add oil and pomper mustard and urad dal, gram dal and asafodita.
- Add Curry leaves, grated ginger and chilly. Fry onions till golden brown.
- Add roasted rava and roasted semiya. Add the boiled water.
- Cook it well.
Add extra oil than normal quantity for an extraoridanry taste.
I love o have this with sugar or pickle .You can also serve along with Coriander coconut chutney.
