Today, I am celebrating the milestone with a sweet. I made this sweet along with my mother in law last week. on round vanished immediately after making it.

Today, I am celebrating the milestone with a sweet. I made this sweet along with my mother in law last week. on round vanished immediately after making it.
Moving on to the recipe:
Ingredients:
For the outer cover:
- Maida/ all purpose flour - 1 cup
- Rava - One handful
- Salt a pinch
- Oil - 1 tsp
Method:
- Knead the above ingredients into a soft dough and keep it aside for some time.
For the stuffing:
Ingredients:
- Fried gram flour - 1 cup
- Sugar - 3/4 cup
- Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
- Coconut grated - 1/4 cup
- Ghee - 1 tsp
Method:
- Heat a tsp of ghee in a pan, fry the coconut in it for few mins.
- Grind fried gram flour and sugar together in a mixer.
- Add it to the fried coconut and stir for few mins.
- Add cardamom powder and mix well.
- Filling is ready( Below picture)
Method for the Somas:
- Take small balls from the dough and make thin chapathies.
- Take the somas mould, apply little oil( if its a new mould)
- Place the thin chapathies on the mould.take a ts fulll of filling and place it on the chapathi.
- Close the mould well. Press it and check if its closed well.
- Take the excess flour from the mould and take the somas.
- Heat oil in a pan, make few somasis ready to fry.
- Fry them on medium flame.
drain it and store it in a air tight container.
See the filling inside, it has cooked so well.
Crunchy , munchy Somas ready to be munched.
Note:
Fry on medium flame, for the crispness.
Using Rava to the outer covering is for crispness as well as while making chapathi it allows you to move freely.
any stuffing on your choice can be made.
