Sundalmania is going on... Most healthiest dish. Rich in proteins. A wonderful snack.
Ingredients:
- Karamani / Blackeyed peas - 1 cup
- Salt
- Water
- Oil
- Mustard seeds
- Urad dal
- Curry leaves
- Hing
- Coriander curry podi - 2 -3 tsp - recipe here
Method:
- Soak karamani in water overnight or even for 6 hrs.
- In a vessel, add the soaked karamani , add water and salt.
- Boil it for 15 mins. Till it becomes soft and not mushy. Drain it.
- Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves.
- Add hing to it.Add the boiled karamani.
- Sprinkle the coriander curry podi over it and stir for a couple of mins. The coriander curry podi gives a wonderful aroma and taste.
