- Tamarind - 1 lemon size
- Tomato - 1/2
- Garlic - 4-5
- curry leaves
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red Chilly - 2
- Pepper and cumin seeds powder - 2 tsp
- Asafoedita
Method:
- Add oil, season curry leaves,garlic,red chilly and mustard seeds ,asafoedita and turmeric powder.
- Add tomato.fry them well.
- Add tamarind extract and add water.Add salt.
- Allow it to boil.
- Finally add pepper and cumin seeds powder and leave for 3 mins.
Poondu rasam ready.

In fact, i found something very interesting on TV the other day, green chilly rasam! Ever heard of that? Well, I tried it out n it was real yummy! Spicy, but yummy! I've posted it on my blog too.
