Nankhattai

Ingredients:

  • Maida 1 cup
  • Powdered sugar 1/ cup
  • Ghee 1/3 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt a pinch

Method:

  • Rub ghee into the maida and baking powder till grainy.
  • Add sugar and cold water and make a dough.
  • Roll out into long strips.
  • Keep covered in a refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  • Take out. When at room temperature, cut into circles.
  • Bake at 375o F. for 20 minutes till slightly brown.
