Paruppu Rasam

Ingredients:

  • Tamarind - 1 lemon size
  • Toor dal - 3 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoedita
  • Green chilly - 1
  • Tomato - 1
  • Sambar powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Mustard seeds
  • Coriander leaves

Method:

  • Boil dal with turmeric powder and asafoedita.
  • In a vessel, add tamarind extract, tomato, water,chilly,sambar powder and salt . Allow it to boil to 1/4th.
  • Add the boiled dal.

Garnish with Coriander.
Season mustard seeds in Ghee.
