Paruppu podi

Yummy instant mix powder from my grandma's recipe:


  • Toor dal - 1/2 cup
  • Gram dal - 1/4 cup
  • Pepper - 2 tsp
  • Red chilly - 5-6
  • Salt
  • Asafoedita


  • Dry roast each ingredient separately.
  • Cool them and grind it little coarsely.
  • Store in refrigeration if you are grinding a larger quantity.

Goes well with rice and coconut oil.
